Andrea LucenteAssistant Instructor
With no prior experience in martial arts or combat sports besides her current training, Andrea decided to join the Instructors College in February 2024 and earned her Assistant Instructor certification at Practitioner Level 4 in December 2024. She dedicated a lot of time on the mat training, learning, practicing, testing, attended the required meetings, and completed her rotations in the kids, striking, and adult self-defense/Krav Maga classes.

Andrea hopes to inspire and empower other women to step out of their comfort zone, own their space and live confidently. Today, you can find her assisting in the women’s only class, Valkyrie; adult self-defense; and leading striking class as she continues with her training to move up in rank and become a full Kore instructor.

Born and raised in Northern California, Andrea moved to Virginia in 2018 with her husband and two of her three children. Before moving to Virginia, Andrea worked in special education for LVJUSD. She enjoys spending time with her 2 cats and golden retriever, watching crime and paranormal shows, and embroidery. She’s also a big high school and college wrestling fan. Andrea loves road trips and exploring the US. She’s a foodie at heart and loves visiting local coffee shops during her travels.

Andrea is a certified yoga teacher, and teaches private clients. She holds additional certifications in yin and restorative yoga practices and Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery for veterans. She has been practicing yoga for 11 years and truly believes in the journey of healing and self-discovery, and that everyone should move their body in whatever way makes them feel good.
