Confidence. Compassion. Capability.
At Kore Self Defense, we don’t just teach children how to kick and punch; we teach them how to navigate the world with confidence. Our Kore Warriors program is the premier youth self-defense curriculum in Loudoun County, offering a modern, reality-based alternative to traditional karate.
While traditional martial arts focus on competition and sport, Kore Warriors focuses on the life-saving skills and psychological resilience your child needs to face modern challenges—from schoolyard bullying to stranger awareness.

The Kore Difference: Play-Based, Research-Backed Learning

We believe that children learn best when they are having too much fun to realize they are working. Our curriculum is built on years of academic and observational research, utilizing play-based learning to instill elite-level skills.
As the only program in the region with roots in the world-renowned youth curriculum developed by Ze’ev Cohen and Krav Maga Global (KMG), we provide a developmentally appropriate path for every stage of your child’s growth:
- Rangers & Alpha Teams: Early foundational movement, focus, and verbal boundaries.
- Bravo Team: Intermediate skill-building, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
- Delta Team: A select group of older students (ages 10–12) who demonstrate a high work ethic, training on a bridging curriculum that prepares them for the Adult Krav Maga program.
More Than Just “Self-Defense”
While our physical techniques are world-class, the true value of the Kore Warriors program lies in the character of our students. Through our specialized training, children develop:
- Bully Management: Age-appropriate verbal and physical responses to emotional and physical bullying.
- Confident Decision Making: The ability to stay calm and solve problems under pressure.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Students ages 8–13 can earn leadership points, opening the door to our exclusive Mentorship Program where they learn to guide and inspire their peers.
- Stranger Awareness: Empowering children with the skills to recognize and respond to threats from adults without living in fear.

The Power of Compassion over Fear

Children who know they can effectively manage conflict—whether verbal or physical—carry themselves differently. This “Kore Confidence” allows them to live with compassion rather than fear. They don’t need to be the loudest in the room because they know they are capable.
Join the Tribe: Start Your Child’s Journey
Our classes run Monday through Thursday from 5:30–6:15 pm and Saturdays from 10:00-11:00 am. While our younger Warriors thrive on once or twice-a-week sessions, we recommend our older, goal-oriented students attend twice or three times weekly to see maximum results in their skill and fitness.
