Learn critical skills preventing violence and improve your ability to accomplish everything you set out to in life.
The Wonder Women program enhances our free First Friday Program with a progressive, developmental curriculum designed to take you from where-ever you are – to a solid foundational place of basic competency. You will get out of it what you put into it and our experienced, credentialed female instructors are 100% committed to creating a powerful and empowering experience.
Here’s a glimpse of what you will learn:
Alpha Skills (prevention):
- Understand the dynamics of how predators choose a Target
- Improve personal boundary setting in social situations
- Social & situational awareness
- Personal strength to ask for what you want
- Take care of what you need
- Safety management for a variety of environments including dating situations, travel and public transportation
Omega Skills (physical):
- Foundation striking & targeting skills
- Physical prevention
- Physical boundary-setting
- Physics of moving a human body (in non-physics terms)
- Use of improvised weapons (stuff in your environment)
- Comprehensive defensive maneuvers for attacks common to women
- VIP/third part protection as applies to loved-ones, children etc.
Meta Skills:
- Applying concepts of force to decision-making
- Ethics/legal issues with self-defense, how to talk to the police
- How your neurobiology helps or hurts your responses under stress
Course Details:
- Thursdays – 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm (June 19 – July 24th)
- Have to miss a class? No problem, we’ll get you caught up!
- Registration fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to a friend/family member.
